Tips for Reading Together
Babies
Reading to your baby and letting them examine books is the start of early literacy. Many board books are designed explicitly for baby hands, so don't be afraid to let them handle and explore the books when you read to your child.
Toddlers
It's rhyme time! Lots of books use rhymes and songs, so bust out that singing voice when you read the book to your small one. If a book uses repetition, have your child say the repeating parts.
Pre-K
When reading to your child, involve them by asking them lots of questions. For example, ask them what they think will happen next, or how they would change the ending.
